This beautiful kitchen remodel started off with the home owners’ – first time buyers – vision and doing their own demolition of the current kitchen and flooring throughout. Outdated cabinets were smashed and torn out. Builder grade laminate countertops were removed, along with an inconvenient and space limiting peninsula. Soffits were torn out to make space for taller cabinets and a more open layout.
Dimensions in Wood worked with the home owners through the entire process, planning, preparing and providing a dump trailer for their demo materials to avoid the added cost of a rolloff dumpster. After the DIY demolition the Dimensions in Wood craftsman stepped in and finished preparing the kitchen for a fresh and modern living space.
First, the doorway leading to the dining room was moved to maximize space for new, custom cabinetry. Next, a recess was framed for the refrigerator and appliance garage area, as well as a niche over the range. New sheetrock covered the ceiling where the old soffits were removed, and a smaller enclosure was constructed to contain the ductwork.
The Dimensions in Wood construction team installed the custom built cabinets, trim work and crown molding. A white subway tile backsplash contrasts wonderfully with the dark wood cabinets, while matching the Corian Quartz Countertops.
The Corian Quartz counters also top the eat-in island for more storage and prep space. The natural wood legs on the island accent the custom, floating shelves. Beside the refrigerator, an appliance garagewith custom pocket doors store the microwave, coffee maker and more. When closed, the appliances are hidden for a completely clean kitchen.
All new LED ceiling light fixtures illuminate the kitchen. The clients selected beautiful GE Cafe Series Appliances with the modern glass finish.
These new owners now have a beautiful space to gather and entertain in their home which will stand the test of time.
